Blog Post

This week was the last week we got to work on project 2a. I didn't get too far on the lab since i got stuck making the graph. I believe this was the hardest part. Even though i didn't finish the lab, this week was a pretty good week. Mainly because it was the week before spring break. My favorite part of this week was watching the TED talks. My favorite talk was the one that showed a new way to  interact our digital world with our physical world. 

Blog Post 3/3/12

This week i worked with Ganesh on the Finch lab 06. For this lab we used JES a program that allowed us to type in python code which was then converted into Java. The Finch lab was generally easy but it was problematic sometimes since sometimes we misspelled some functions and had some minor syntax errors. We finished lab early, this allowed me to work on the reading reflection.

The only thing we did this week was work on project 02. The project will help us get a better understanding and will allow us to use the "for" loop. This project will also helps us with while loops and indentation skills. We will need to use skills we gathered from other lab and implement them in a problem. During this week I have started and I am almost half way done with project 02 , but seemed to have reached a point where i cant the problem in my code.

This week was a tough week for me, since i had to make up a lot of work such as blogs, reading reflections , projects and labs. At the end i made it trough the week and celebrated with a four day weekend. I have also started project 02 this is going to be a difficult and challenging project.  

Blog Post 01/29/12

This week we worked on lab 05 in this lab we will learn about how to use "and" and "or" we will also use operators like equal than, greater than or less than. This lab also helped us understand while loops and for loops. We also started project 02. This project is making us use all the things we learned in the past weeks and apply it to a real life situation. This project so far has been very challenging. 

Blog Post 01/5/12

This week we started and finished Project 01. This project required us to gathered all the information we learned in the previous lab and apply it in a project. The project made us to code for a graphics window. It also made us applied everything we learned. The lab was based on the angry bird game required us to choose a trajectory so the bird can hit a pig located at a certain distance  and at a certain elevation from the bird's position. I am also required to tell the birds the angle and velocity of takeoff that will result in hitting the pig. 

Blog Post 01/29/12

This week we worked on lab 4a and on project 01. Lab 4a required us to make a simple graphs by using the graphics library, and get an idea about object-oriented programming. During this lab I also learned how to to draw lines, rectangles and text objects in the window, and how to change the position and appearance of these objects. This lab was both fun and challenging.
