Blog post 11
This week we watched 5 TED videos. My favorite one was the ''Filter Bubble'' by Eli Pariser. Eli Pariser talked about how search engines filter our searches. Search engines do so based on our previous searches. This really surprised me since it made me realized that the search engines are choosing what we find out about and what we wont. He proved this by having two of his friends search Egypt on both of their computer. The results were shocking one of his friends received news about the conflicts in Egypt and his other friend received websites that recommended tour guides and and places to visit around Egypt.
